Western Wisconsin Cesarean & VBAC Support Group

  • Matrescence Doula Services 321 13th Street SE Menomonie, WI 54751 USA (map)

This is a private peer-to-peer cesarean & VBAC support group for people who have personally experienced (or are facing) cesarean section and/or VBAC, and are looking to give or receive support around physical & emotional recovery, and navigating subsequent pregnancies and births. We seek to provide a safe space to heal, connect, and learn from one another. We affirm that VBAC is a safe choice, supported by medical guidelines for most people with a cesarean history, and a critical means of reducing preventable morbidity and mortality associated with multiple c-sections.

We meet in-person the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8pm at the TruLiving Birth Center, 321 13th Street SE in Menomonie. Babies in arms or carriers are welcome. There will be light refreshments available. There is no cost to join. Outside of meetings, this space is available to ask questions, share encouragement and experiences, and tell your stories.

This group is hosted by local cesarean & VBAC mom Diana Snyder. Diana is a former ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) chapter leader, experienced birth doula specializing in VBAC, and owner of Matrescence, based in Menomonie.

At this time, to protect the privacy and sensitivity of this space, this group is closed to providers and professionals unless they have personally experienced one or more cesareans and are actively needing support with recovery or birth planning.

Please email Diana Snyder diana@matrescencedoulaservices.com or join us on Facebook. We look forward to meeting you!
